Make dress texture less white reflective (options)

Hi,

I generally have this issue with white texture, it just looks overall washed out. Just want to identify the area I can improve on:

a) Lighting (reduce intensity or lumen will darken other area as well, no good idea atm)

a2) Surface setting (have no idea)

b) Photoshop:Select texture file then reduce exposure or overlay a light grey, save as new texture

c) Render setting: Reduce intensity of light, then render. Go to Photoshop then boost the exposure of the skin parts (lotsa time and hard to select edge)

d) Render at 2 different intensity level, then merge it somehow? Have yet to figure this out in PS. Most probably play with the overlay settings, then paint the mask on the dress to get back the details.

Darken the Base Colour (Iray Uber Base shader) or Diffuse Colour (3Delight shaders) in the Surfaces pane.

Keep your reflectivity under 70% for white colors.
