Michael 8 Gens 01 and 02 gens.duf

I just purchased the Michael 8 pro bundle and am able to start the character.  Eyes, eyebrows etc  load onto the character correctly.  There are a files in the package called "Michael 8 Gens 01" and "Michael 8 Gens 02" which refuse to load onto the character. I actually purchased this package with the intent to use gens01.duf or gens02.duf. I know that they are genetals but they do not show on the figure.  A window on the figure opens and closes but it happens so fast that I really can't know what is happening.  For all I can see, nothing happens.  Is there anyone out there that knows what is happening?

It sounds like you've found the presets for the textures. However, they won't apply until you put the anatomical elements on the character.

Unfortunately, from the looks of things, you may be using Smart Content, and I'm not sure how that works. I'm operating a bit off best guesses here, because I can't confirm all of the options in Smart Content without invoking Daz Connect, which I don't use.

I think, but am not certain, that you can find the genitals themselves by clicking on your character in the scene/workspace, then going to the "Anatomy" tab that shows up..Click on the "External" option underneath "Anatomy". It looks like there's an option for "Genesis 8 Male Anatomical Elements" under "External", and you should click that.

I think, though I am not certain, that the option should open out to show you both the available texture sets and the genitalia preset itself.

You do NOT want to select the Michael 8 Gens 01/02 option if you see them at that point. You want the option that should say "Genesis 8 Male Genitalia". Double-click/select that option, and you should wind up with an untextured set of male genitals attached to your character.

At this point, you can do one of two things. If you select Michael himself, you can use the main texture set for his entire body, and it will automatically apply the Gens 01 texture to the genitalia as well as texturing the rest of his body.

Alternately, you can select the genitalia figure itself, then double-click/select the Michael 8 Gens 01 (circumcised) or Gens 02 (un-) preset, and it will apply the desired texture only to the genitalia/anatomical elements figure itself.
