Making Clothing for another figure

So I made small outift in zbrush. However I created it using another morph. So when I use the Transfer Utility it gets all messed up. Is there a way to do like a "Reverse Deformations" Type deal to Fit the clothing item onto the model correctly?

  • In Source Shape select the shape you modelled around, then in the More Options list check Reverse Source Shape from Target (scaling will be a problem though).

  • thank you... any suggestions on the scaling?

  • Scaling (and other transforms) should be avoided, I'm not sure there is a useful way to workaround them (well, rotations can be worked around by baking the rotations so the pose becomes the new zero, then applying the opposite pose to the clothing after rigging and baking its rotations to make a conformer for the base figure - you also need to be careful of the JCMs there).

Yeah accept when I do that, if my figure I am making the outfit for has small or big breasts they become distorted when autofitted. I was hoping to avoid having to smooth it out everytime

That is what you make custom FBMs for. It will be much easier than trying to model around a custom shape to start out with.
