I think I overdid it the last few months with all the sales. I don't even want to look at another product. PAges of pages of special deals from 2015-17 ... all the vendors ... on and on.
Wow ... it's way too much. So many new items everyday. It used to be more mentally manageable when it was maybe once a week or so that new stuff came out.

its a skill I've perfected, that's for sure. But now the piper is demanding payback
and then that loyalty reward is tempting
The next long event is in March, I think. There may be flash sales and such until then, but even those will give less discount that what we have now with the loyalty discount. Might as well buy as many items now as the budget allows. Items with 70%+ discounts (with the loyalty reward) even beat fastgrab.
I forgot March Madness was only 2 months away.
Wow, that was THE BEST of times.
Right now, Genesis 8 has slowed things down a lot.
That makes, pretty much 50% of the new releases not really interesting, plus many are repeats of previous items I already own.
I always wish I had more money.
I’m not really daz stores target audience so the majority of female content is passing me by. I have bought some that might work on the gentsand the Christmas stuff do yeah I’ve been spending more than usual.
I have spent more in the past few months than I usually do and also managed to knock out some of my wishlist items that have been there awhile. My Dad sent me $500 for Xmas, so I am debating if I want to use any of it on DAZ or other things, hmm, decisions, decisions.....

Yeah. The last few months have been crazy and I've picked up over a hundred and fifty new items since the begining of December, and more than double that in November... and that's with me only buying a small percentage of Gen 8 items. :0 Between what I bought here and at the Rendos in the last two months, I could literally use a new item every day for the next TWO years and STILL not have used them all, and when I look at how much I've bought in the last year... gah... I just checked and it's over 1900 items JUST from DAZ since December first. That's kinda crazy and enough items to use a new one every day without repeating for over FIVE years, even before I add the Rendo stuff.
So... this year's New Year's resolution is definitely going to be reigning way back on the DAZ habit. As noted above, I've already put the foot down on investing heavily in the new Genesis 8 stuff, as I've found that I generally prefer the look of the G3s... but, of course, with the G3 stuff constantly on sale now, it may be a hard resolution to keep to.

Dang, just saw that everyones wishlist at rendo is 50% off, might have to spend some over there now.
What?! what do you mean I am out of money? I still have check left.
...still haven't used my reward or PC coupons yet. Most new releases are for G8 which I am not buying into as I'm satisfied with G3 (and invested quite a bit in that generation).
Pretty much waiting for certain items on my wishlist to show up.
Didn't someone say DAZ has big plans set for 2018?
Every month I overspend my budget for 3D contents. Sometimes I just shake off that "guilty" feeling and make up for it by brown bagging lunch to work. Makes up for it somehow.
I'm flat for the moment... but Monday we see the inlaws, who can be *very* generous (they're always generous, but some years its eyebrow raising.) I have some things that aren't 3D that I plan to purchase, but there will be some final purchases to take advantage of the Loyalty rewards before the end of the year. :D
That would be a no-brainer for me. The video card to match the GTX 1080 in my machine is $519... I'd get the card. After all, with Daz, there's always another sale...

I thought I was tapped out weeks ago...then tonight I caved in...again. No point in rationalizing it. See you at the DAZaholics meeting.
..agh, was looking through the wishlist to find things on sale (much simpler) when I came across one of the Perfect Skies IBL sets (High Clouds). When I looked at the product page I noticed it was part of a 6 set bundle that ranged from clear to stormy sky settings. Also saw the entire bundle was on sale at 40% off (normally 60$) and my Loyalty Reward knocked the price down further to 26$ and change. On top of that also still had my 6$ PC PA coupon which made it 20$ and change. Really been wanting nice skies for use with Iray and this allows for full control (both azimuth and elevation) rather than just being a static HDRI. In a sense it is like the old Light Dome Pro but for Iray.
So closed my eyes and clicked "Checkout" (only about a week until I get my next cheque anyway).
Yeah I'll be at that meeting as well.
I've just put my $6 PC PA coupon towards Faveral's Perouges and Alsace, my loyalty reward bringing the price down to a total of $19.17 for the two. I'm glad there's not a dress code at these Dazaholics meetings - loyalty rewards worth having aren't gained by buying stylish clothes in the real world. The bag-lady look is going to have to hit the catwalks big time at this rate :)
The sales have been pretty much a bust for me since they're so heavy on G8 stuff, which I'm not interested in. I've spent more at Rendo, and my favorite artist there just came out with two new G3F characters! I'm tired of seeing only G8 new stuff.
I'm also getting sick of this forum's --- signing in/signing out/page not found --- garbage.
Some nice people at a ‘3DL lab’ topic are being patient with me I try to learn it. (I probably interrupted whatever they have been working on.)
So anyway, tapped out as I got Ubersurface2, AoA lights, and pwBundle. Then someone posted the light bundle was 70% off during a fast grab...

Don’t mind though. Good product & understand the PA really did make armor. Pretty cool!

Same here, so far I prefer the look of G3 and kinda regret buying what G8 I have already - I haven't used it, only sampled it. I would have hardly bought anything at all if it wasn't for the Loyalty Rewards and special deals from 2015-2017.
I think I can skip G8 for what I really want for Christmas - a higher resolution mesh! Already current Nvidia Pascal architecture laughs at 20K polys. That, or give us SubD with Zbrush GoZ.
Got a lot of Gen 3 content at great prices so I can't complain.
...and then they toss another orange banner at me for 25$ off on select Daz-O's. So for 10$ got 66$ worth of content
...and I still need to go to Rendo by tomorrow and cash in on the things moved to my cart there.
Fortunately I have enough food to last until the end of the month.
Well the damage is done the gifts have been un wrapped. paper. bows and toys scattered all over the house. I am so full of christmas dinner i'm about to explode . everyones else including grand kids are passed out sound asleep from a trukey coma in front of the TV by the fireplace watching the christmas story . I'll tell ya. I'm so broke I can't even afford to pay attention. Whatta year!
Yes, Rendo is killing my wallet with their sale this year. I just bought four armored vehicles and some figures. Urgh.
...yeah I have almost 40$ (sale prices) in the cart but no credit or coupon to help reduce the cost.
Well, I got my money... just not in a form I can use on-line just yet.
I know it's a bit of heresy here, but a decent chunk of said money is going for something better than 3D assets. Hamilton Tickets (provided that come Thursday there are still shows where we can get seats without an obstructed view for cheap enough.)
