At the recommendation of some comments I got on FanArtReview.Com, I've been working to improve my eye textures/shaders and make them more realistic. I would be interested in anyone's thoughts on this latest version. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

it looks very good, but theres something I dond't like is how it seems the color of iris is spreading winthin the center of the pupils

I suggest you take inspiration from National Geographic photographers they are very professional capturing realism and beauty on eyes
the light reflection on the white eyeglobes are more rare and very situational, so it's harder to make a shader from this and call it realistic
Thanks! Here's the latest version, which I hope is an improvement. EquisVoid, I think what you may be seeing in the pupil is actually a reflection, since the pupil isn't really a hole but rather a lens. As for the white reflection on the eye as a whole, that's probably due to the rather large fill light I have in the scene, so it probably is situationally appropriate in this case. In other scenes, the white quadrilateral reflection disappears.
You shouldn't see reflections in the pupil. It should be completely black with no specular.
Well, it's been a while, but that's because I've been hard at work making what I hope is some serious progress. Here's a sample of the latest version of my shaders. Feedback is still welcome!
much improved.
