Using Poser files with DAZ?

I am a complete NOOB to both this software and the dazzling world of 3d animation. I purchased a package from Renderosity and when I ran the installer it said that it could not find Poser. Oops. Are these files installable in DAZ,or do I need to be more aobservant with my purchases?
Thank you!

If the installer is hard coded to Poser then it probably does mean it may not work in DS. There are some products which are Poser specific.
Which installer?
The package came with a zip file, InstallTyler_win_149635.zip, which, when uncompressed, resulted in Tyler.exe. When I run that I get, "Poser could not be found on this system. The installation may be incomplete or has been relocated. Please click OK if you would like to manually locate your copy of Poser."
I puchased this off of Renderosity, from Blackhearted.
Thank you both for your replies, I appreciate it.

The only product by Blackhearted that I can find for Tyler at Rendo is Tyler essentials which is a set of clothing for a figure called Tyler. It does state that it is only for Poser 9+
Tyler is a character made by Blackhearted for use in Poser 9+ and is apparently for sale at Smith Micro or Content Paradise and as it uses Poser weight mapping it will not work in DS.
For future reference, Renderosity focus mainly on Poser, and very little of their content is Daz-compatible.
That's severely out of date. They have a huge amount of DS content.
Alternatively, you can simply try extracting the files with 7zip and see if you can add them to your DS content folder manually.
That will not work with the products the OP is enquiring about. They are made specifically for Poser, use Poser weightmapping and thus will not work in DS.
The sales pages for items for that figure, and the figure itself are quite explicit on that point. It is Poser 9+ only.
edit to add What may be confusing is that there is a character set for Genesis 3 male at Rendo, which is also named Tyler. That one is by SF-Design But nothing for the blackherated figure will work with that one.
