Combination Flintlocks Question

Are the Combination Flintlocks for Genesis 3 and 8 at all like real world weapons or are they pure fantasy? I can find a few flintlock axes on a Google search but nothing that looks like these.

They definitely had some fantastic shapes, check out image 5 of this page about an exhibit in Leipzig, where they showed "Kombinationswaffen": http://dresden4all.blogspot.de/2016/03/weltsichten-und-wissen-um-1600.html

Though I guess that the ones here in the shop are not 100% perfect copies.

Thanks, Bee. Now, knowing there was something similar in reeaal life, I feel more comfotable buying them
