I am considering getting the M4 for Genesis 2 Male and V4 for Genesis 2 Female products that are in the Previous Generation for 75% Off part of the Holiday Sale. But the store page for both says, "Genesis 2 [Fe]Male can only use presets saved in the DUF format, so presets saved in other formats must be converted to DUF and saved before applying to Genesis 2." How do you this? Inside DS 4.X?

I'm assuming you mean skin textures? If you have the M4 figure, then you just need to load him up in DAZ Studio, apply the skin of your choice, then save as a materials preset (it's in the list from File - Save As - ...) which will save as a .duf file which can then be loaded onto a G2M figure. (Same thing applies to V4 -> G2F)
If you do not have the M4/V4 figures, then you can load the skin onto the base Genesis figure (Genesis "1", not G2M/F) and save from there, but some of the eye materials won't look quite right because Genesis lacked some of the surfaces M4/V4 and G2M/G2F have.
If you want to transfer a lot of different skin textures then there are a pair of products in the store to do batch conversions - they can be found here: https://www.daz3d.com/draagonstorm
Just apply to the original figure (if you have that) or to Genesis, then File?Save As>Materials Preset. It's the saving that performs the conversion.
Thaks, to both of you. Yes, I have the M4 and V4 figures, and a lot of content. Jus getting back in after a few years using Carrara
