Load HDRI in studio

Hello,

can you load a hdri for reflections in studio?

    The only way to do this is 1: if you have a high res jpg of the HDRI then apply that to a sky dome (sphrere) or 2: use Uber Surface and use a HDRI converted to a tif (there is a tool in the Uber Environement folder to do this) and place this tif in the reflection channel, setting the reflection mode do Environemnt Map. But I an not sure if this has been fixed as it was broken a few versions ago and I can't check, sorry.

    I wish it would work as other software does as I love real reflections as opposed to reflection maps.

    I don't know of any other ways maybe others might have some ideas using the Shader Mixer.

    Note that the change log for the current beta of Studio 4.6 mentions it will now properly pass HDRs to 3Delight. So you might be able to use your HDR directly if you are using the beta; I've not tried the beta myself (and I do export all my renders to LuxRender, anyway, which has always supported HDRs).
