Faster Video Rendering?

Is there any way to make video rendering faster?

I remember learning about rendering images faster, but I am now wondering if faster rendering can also be done with video, and if so, how can it be done?

  • It seems as if I had no problem with rendering video faster when I didn't use WorldBall environment, but when I added the Worldball environment - which has two forms of lighting - the rendering slowed down.  It's almost as if I have to delete the lighting in order to solve the problem.  Does that make sense?

  • I'm not sure what WorldBall lighting is, but lighting can have an effect on render speed - though what that aeffect is depends on the render engine being used.

  • I am using the 3Delight rendering engine, with pwToon shaders.  I did have no problem rendering in 3Delight, and with the pwToon shaders, but I agree, lighting is likely the issue with the slower renders.

I do remember rendering a video with an underwater setting using lighting in renders using the 3Delight engine and pwToon, and it likely rendered quicker without the lighting (there were two lights - including sunlight).

It could also be that one of my props may not have been set to pwToon shaders, so that may also have an impact too.
