Should GIS Link load Nova? (Resolved)

I downloaded the Monster Bundle with the GIS sets. They all seem to work fine except for GIS Nova, which seems to be missing several data files. I tried installation through both DIM and manual install, but the files just aren't there. I have attached a screengrab to show what is going on. A search for these files in the data folder comes up empty.

File a bug report and run the separate installer program version. I updated mine back in December to 1.3 and have those missing files, but I ran the installer and didn't use the DIM.

It looks like the DIM version is missing files from your post.

Can you try downloading it again?

As Jen rightly pointed out, it's not actually part of the bundle, so you might have an older version - we just checked the dim installer zip and those files are definitely there.. so give that a go and let me know how you get on.

    Cheers!

I will try downloading and installing it again, but I did use the installers in my product library, as well as DIM. I did not, however, try the .zip file in my product library. I'll give it a go and report back.

I tried this 3 different ways: DIM (missing files as in original post), downloaded installer files marked DIM from product library (still missing the files), and downloaded individual installers from product library (only contains MAC files).

I have tried loading both the DS files and the Poser files (.pp2, .cr2), but the .obj and/or data files do not contain the Nova elements. I'm assuming, based on where DAZ Studio tries to put the Nova objects that this is some sort of interior for the Link unit?

I also don't see the preload in Link that adds the Sigma unit to the group. I'm not sure how these are meant to fit together, except that Link and Project seem to fit together using the preloads found in the Link set.

After downloading everything 3 times and not getting the Nova part to work, I don't know what to do. My head hurts a little. :)

I guess Nova is not critical for me, but since I don't know what it is, I can't say for sure.

What product are you using? Because nova contains all the files I checked the installer version and the DIM version they have the data files

Nova is a stand alone product while GIS Link requires Nova and Project. To use Link you must have Nova and Project.

(See screenshots of nova downloads and screenshot of nova data file )

Are you able to load the GIS Nova product all buy itself? As was mentioned earlier by Jack, GIS Nova is not part of the bundle and is a separate purchase. http://www.daz3d.com/gis-nova

I have all of the GIS products already and the GIS Link loads with no errors of missing parts.

Link doesn't load Sigma, that's why you don't find a preload to load it. It will load Project, Nova, and the pieces for link for the set.

Please let me know which files you are trying to load so I can better assist you.

Just realized everything each of you said probably about the same time you posted. I assumed, wrongly, that Nova was part of the bundle because there is a preload for it in Link. I didn't realize it was a separate product. I also assumed, also wrongly, that the Link product page mentioned preloads to fit the other two products, but it was Nova and Project, not Sigma and Project.

I'm glad that it was just a case of me not understanding what the product actually contained. I will most likely buy Nova just because I like to have everything involved in Jack's products. I know there is a dining hall of some sort that I already have in my wishlist which goes with this set.

Thanks to everyone for your responses. I'm happy it's sorted.
