Will DAZ Install Manager DOWNLOAD DATE issue ever be addressed?

After updating from a relatively ancient version of DIM to the latest, I was really surprised to see that the DOWNLOAD DATE is still completely wrong ... and useless as a result. Are there any plans to correct this issue ... or is a simple matter of the data no longer being available or something.

Also, just want to say KUDOS to DAZ for finally fixing the Itemized Order History. (Now the Product Library). I still wish you could have more products listed per page, but the search, and the responsiveness of the new design kind of make up for this issue. Thanks for that much needed (and seemingly much improved) fix. Nice job! I can finally start downloading a truckload of stuff that was just too much of a hassle to get before.

What are you expecting the download date to be?

I'm expecting it to be the correct date ... or MUCH more importantly, expecting it to reflect NO DATE for items which I have never downloaded (which there are tons.) That way I could sort them by date, and have all the non-downloaded items grouped together --- therefore making them easily identified.

The only reason I think they have yet to fix this is, they simply no longer have the data. :(

The "Download Date" is not the date that you downloaded it, its the date of the download itself. It is only referred to as the "Download Date" in the tip on the "Ready to Download" page. Think about it for a second... how could a "Download Date" mean the date you downloaded an item that you haven't actually downloaded yet? If you had already downloaded it, it wouldn't be displayed on the "Ready to Download" page, it would be displayed on the "Ready to Install" or "Installed" page. The same date is displayed as the "Installer Date" in the tip for both of the "Ready to Install" or "Installed" pages. All three dates can differ... e.g. the date of the one installed is different than the date of the one you downloaded but didn't install, which itself is different than the one waiting for you to download.

I see your point. I guess in my mind I always saw the "Ready to Download" TAB, as really the "OWNED ITEMS" tab, and was (perhaps, wishfully thinking) that the download date was pulled over from the web site. So the functionality I was waiting for (basically ID'ing products I've never downloaded) is never going to happen.

Although, with the fixing of the itemized order history, it is much not as big of a problem ultimately. Although the functionality I was hoping for would still save vast amounts of time.

    Thanks,
    Tim

If you've never downloaded it THROUGH DIM (or if it's been updated since then) it will show in the Ready to Download tab, otherwise it won't. It doesn't know if you downloaded it pre-DIM, however.
