Instruments and/or Poses to Use Them

It'd be great if there'd be some new/updated instruments (i.e. flutes, harps, etc) that have accompanying poses/smart props to use them. Like orchestral instruments and the like. What's out there is pretty old, especially for poses: Don Albert's stuff looks useful, but there's not really any way to convert poses from Generation 3 all the way to Genesis 3/8 without it being a long and convoluted process. 

I do know there's stuff for violins, pianos, and cellos out there. That's great! But I'd love to see more of the stuff in the future, if at all possible.

    This is actually something that I have been considering making. I know recently there's been some violin prop/poses that were released not too long ago. I've done poses for guitars and drum sets, and I wanted to make some piano playing poses for a set for the PC+ but the piano was built at the wrong scale and I found myself fighting with it. I really need to sit down and model my own instruments that way I know that they'll be to scale and I'll be able to make proper poses.

    I have a few other projects already in my build queue, but I'll see what I can do.

    If you do make a piano or other keyboard instrument, I hope you'll make at least some of the keys poseable so it looks as if the thing is actually being played. smiley

    I would DEFINITELY be interested in your rigged piano. (And your violin set by the way is exquisite. I play fiddle myself and I thought your model was absolutely beautiful.)

    Protozoon, I bought your violin set. It's exquisite. I love it--and I don't even play the violin! It's a wonderful, wonderful set. That being said ... is there any way that you--or you, FeralFey--would consider doing a (jazz) saxophone set???

    I’ve been thinking about doing a trumpet or a saxophone next. I’ll do a sax!

    Beautiful, Protozoon. I'd love to see more teaser images. Up until now, the only CGI flutes I've managed to get have been... unrealistic, is perhaps the kindest word. This first image you've posted looks very real.

    Have toyed with the Idea of building a cool Hammond B series. Would have fully functioning slider, knobs, pedals and keys. I would be ground down doing all the poses playing, turning knobs, etc. Would do one of these as a colaborative though. Poses just aren't my forte. FeralFey, you've seen all the pokethrough issues I've had to fixup in the past ...imagine a keyboard Aaahhhh! :)

    Yes Protozoon has some amazing instruments. Have several of them and all are exquisit and well made. I had a heap of guitar stuff ready to roll, but a computer crash wiped it all out darn. Just getting other stuff finish so I can get back to it.

    The trumpet is now ready and I’m pondering about a trombone and have a major challenge for the summer, the alto or tenor saxophone.

    Haven't really been able to tell for sure by looking through the thread here but... is there an overall planned list of what instruments Protozoon has planned to make?  In any event, its always good to have more variety of instruments.

    Hi! Atfter the trombone and saxophone (with the trumpet they form a common horn line-up, scheduled fir the summer) I haven’t got any ideas yet. Suggestions?

    Well, I mentioned tubas earlier, and I suppose other sorts of brass band instruments would make sense, too.

    Ah, the french horn. Totally doable and I adore these very difficult instruments and their players. Beautiful instrument and a lot of modellin work, marketwise perhaps not so attractive. Of course I dream of a whole orchestra, might take a couple of years X)
