this year I'm going to be building a PC so I'm doing a lot of planning
most of the places online about this are more geared to gamers.
how many of you water cool your PC and those that do what type do you use.
also, how may of you overclock and is this necessary for daz studio

I do, but don't think it's necessary except for the video card.
I went a bit crazy, built a wet system where the coolant actually
flows across the top of the processor itself.
The reservoir is a 5 gallon bucket in a small chest freezer.
If I had to do it again, as a graphics computer, I think I'd build
an air cooled system with a factory water cooled video card.
Other people will have different opinions.
I am planning to build a Core i7 8700K system with a GTX 1070 card. The 8th generation Intel processors are known to run hotter than the earlier generations. I have no plans to watercool, though I did select my case based on the thermal performance measurements in Tom's Hardware. I do not overclock, as I do not feel it is wise to compromise my component life and warranties for minor performance gains. Reliability is my first prioity.
