As the title say a serious flaw has been found in what looks to be all Intel CPU's manufactured over the past decade.. Apart from the serious nature of the flaw the problem lies with the fact that the patch to fix the problem could reduce performance by 5 to 30 percent, this article explains a bit more..

There's already a thread on this problem: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/222611/your-intel-based-computer-is-probably-going-to-get-slower-this-month-along-with-the-whole-world#latest
Cheers for that should of looked down a bit further.. :) Can a admin delete this thread please, thank you..
wow ... wonder what will be affected. If its CPU rendering, I cannot afford a 30% longer time.... or any performance hit on anything, for that matter.
I would assume this also means buying a new system right now, at least Intel based, wouldn;t be a smart move. And if Intel patches things prior to sale, will your nwew system actually be a lot slower than advertised?
The risk has been there now for quite awhile. Perhaps turn off auto download of Mocrosoft patches and only choose what you want to update. Take the risk or not?
