in animate what is a subtrack used for?

Is it for when you want to adit an aniblock? say you have an aniblock and the person is running but you want to have it so the person is running but their arm is stretched out in front of them do yopu apply a subtrack for this edit?

or am I wrong here? thx.

    Yep, extra motions can go on subtracks. You are basically layering motions.

    ahh k but why not just do that edit on the main aniblock?

    So you have more control and flexibility. You can add them to other tracks where you want. It's similar to adding sounds or music to a multitrack recorder. If you add to the main track and you want to change it later, it's harder.

    i use it to offset feet a lot. for example the animation has no heels on the character, but you want your character to have heels. make an aniblock with JUST the heal pose. use it as a subtrack.

     

    this method also works really well for boob physics that may be lacking the source animation.

    I think there may be a difference between the paid version and the free?

     

    But I think 8 for the paid one. i never needed more than 4
