Newbie question :( Sorry
Hi . I can't seem to save my renders in Luxrender. I have the Luxus plugin, downloaded Luxrender v1.2.1 , I am running DS 4.6.0.18 (64bit) on Windows 7 OS.
I setup a scene, lit the scene, set up the Luxrender textures wherever I needed to , setup the Uber envionment lights , converted them to Luxrender lights and rendered the scene. Created a folder on my desktop , set the path to the folder in my Render settings, once the scene was renderedI clicked , save and exit.........nothing :( .
I have tried reading up on the Luxrender site and in the Wiki, but there are so many different versions for Blender , etc the information is very confusing..and to be honest, I am very easily confused .. So I was wondering if some kind person would explain, in the simplest of laymans terms what I am doing wrong please. Thank you

Ok, let's see if we can guide you here ...
In the Render Settings dialog (Shift-Ctrl-R) or Render> Render Settings from the menu:
Select the General tab (much less cluttered and easy to refer to!)
The bottom portion will be aframe titled "Render To:" Under here you can (and probably should) select the "Image File" radio button, enter a name in the "Name:" text box and pick a location in the last control. Back in the advanced tab (you will still be able to see and alter these) you can select Luxus as the render engine and off you go!
If you leave the name blank DS will 'invent' a name for you, using the naming standard it uses, you'll get a 'd' followed by a couple of numbers (such as d47). If you leave (or select) '"New Window" selected Luxus will pass on the DS temporary directory to LuxRender as the save location.
*mutters*..... Oh my!!!! :red: The number of times I looked at that button too.. Thank you so much :-)
I wish to ask something too. You said you "setup the Uber envionment lights , converted them to Luxrender lights".... how do you do that? I can't figure out lights in LuxRender and it's bothering me ~-~
Hi, :) I must admit, I was like that with lights, specially Uber lights, and when I saw Luxus had it's own lights, I bought the Luxus Pro Training package by Bluebird 3D from Daz. It really is well worth it, it explains how to set up and use , both Uber and Luxus lighting far better than I ever could.
Thank you for the information!
