dForce upgrade for Flirty School Uniform for Genesis 8 Female(s)

Flirty School Uniform for Genesis 8 Female(s) is not dForce compatible, the shirt exploded on simulation, the skirt slides off the hips. It does not claim to be dForce compatible in the product page, but I think that for $18.95 it really should be. There is not even a "belt" material zone on the skirt to allow that to be removed from the simulation.

If Charlie would be kind enough to update the product with at least a belt material zone, I for one would be very grateful.

  • Try clicking on the belt with the Geometry Editor tool, then pressing ctrl * (cmd * for a Mac) to select all connected - does that get most or all of the belt and nothing else? If so you can right-click, Geometry Assignment>Create Surface from Selected, then use the same method to select any remaining parts, right-click Geometry Assignment>Assign to Surface. You might also try selecting the top edge of the skirt, which will be fiddlier, and either assigning a new material or simply using the select to fill a weight map for dynamic strength with 0 to anchor the top.

I resorted to selecting some of the vertices on the top edge of the skirt and making them into a separate material zone. That new material can be removed from the simulation. This works for the simulation but it also removes the texture from this material zone.

I tried applying a weight map node to the skirt and selecting the top edge of the skirt, but I could not get that to work; I'm not sure why.

Still, my point remains that a clothing set for G8 costing $18.95 should really have material zones built in which could make it compatible for use with dForce.

  • You should be able to apply the base shader (assuming it isn't using the daz Default Shader) to the new zone and then copy and paste the settings. I measnt to add that to my semi-instructions.
