How do I convert a file for VUE to a DAZ or Poser file?

What are the steps to do this?
Also, what are the disadvantages of doing this and using the file in DS or Poser?
Thanks

I would think you would need Vue or another 3D program that can read .vue files and can convert to a formal that Daz Studio can read.. One last thing it may be quite an issue as it seems that Vue is no more, it was once here at Daz but that was a long time ago..
Vue is just fine. The parent company has website trouble at the moment but other than that it is still in development and will get a new version in the spring.
To use Vue models in other applications, you pretty much need the full version of Vue (Infinite) which is the only one that has all export capabilities. It depends on what you want to use? Plamts? Architecture? Terrains? I can give you more detail if you let me know what you want to use in DAZ/Poser.

Thanks.
I saw some VUE car models at Rendo on sale.
I have VUE Frontier. Will that work?
No. They will only work in your version of Vue.
Many Thanks.

Are you referring to the 3D Classics models that are on sale over there currently? They don't state what format they deliver the Vue models in. If it is .vue or .vob, you would need to export them as .obj for use in Poser/DS. I am not sure if that function is included in Frontier. I am using Infinite. You could try to export a a primitive to see if you have that option.
If the models are provided as .obj you could import to Poser/DS them directly. Maybe ask the vendor. But in any case you will hvae to completely redo the materials in your target app.

Frontier alone doesn't have the ability to export, you would need to purchase the Export Module (after the website comes back) to enable exports.
