Texture Woes

I've been trying to do some tattooes and have encountered a problem with texture color altering in Photoshop.  It's not a consistent problem which makes it all the more frustrating.  See examples below.  First example is torso and arm (with a previously applied tattoo. Second is the same torso with top half of tattoo added (what a joy working across three seams).  Third is the same arm texture with arm portion of the tatto added.  This is where the obvious texture color difference appears.  The underlying arm texture is exactly the same with only the addition of the lower tattoo portion added via a layer.  I have noticed that Photoshop will change the texture shade from time to time, but again, no consistency in this occuring.  I might try using L.I.E but occasionally the temp folder taht L.I.E. uses appears to get 'lost' by DAZ.  Any suggestions?

Yeah, I recommend LIE or Diffuse Overlay.

Are you sure the tattoos you're using have the non-inked areas completely transparent?  In the 3rd pic, the bottom half of the tattoo looks like it has a background to it with a small amount of fill, like 2%, instead of 0%, which darkens the skin.  You can see it off to the left of the tattoo as well.  There's a visible difference in skin color in the non-inked area of the back near the arm that lines up exactly between the top and bottom parts of the tattoo.

    Divamakeup - L.I.E worked fine.

Cresent - I believe what you are seeing is the actual seam between the torso texture and the arm texture. The entire arm texture is darkened.
