Legacy UVs: M6HD Nipple fix

Hi,

The nipples are bigger than the original when I use Legacy UV with Michael 6 HD. If it's possible, I would like a fix for the nipple maps.

Gianni 7 (Scale: 106%) + Michael 6 HD (Bjorn)

Michael 4 textures on Michael 4 (Native), Genesis (Native), Genesis 2 (Legacy UV) and Genesis 3 (Legacy UV).

    That's ... epic, that is.

Also, it might work better to file a support ticket so that Daz can repair it, or alert @Cayman Studios to do so. (That's not going to work to alert Cayman Studios to this thread, unfortunately, but I have no idea how to ping a person with a space in their user name.)

That said, I'd suggest you might try uninstalling and reinstalling Legacy UV first. That's a big enough issue that everyone who bought it would probably have complained, so it might be something weird about your installation. I have Legacy UV for Michael 4 on Genesis 3, and it doesn't do that. Given the images you include, I'm guessing this issue is with the Genesis 8 version?

    @vwrangler I used Michael 4 High-Res textures with Genesis 3

    Scales:

    • Michael 4: 100%
    • Genesis: 103.09%
    • Genesis 2: 103.09%
    • Genesis 3: 101.59%

Huh. I have the G3 version, as mentioned, and it doesn't produce those dinner plates, although they can be slightly larger. That's probably just a result of the remap and UV stretching.

Especially for the G3M version, which has been out for a while now, if people were having issues as bad as the ones you're showing, there would have been a LOT of complaints. All I can suggest is uninstalling and completely deleting it from your system, reinstalling a new copy from the server (either via DIM or Connect or manually, whichever you normally use), and seeing how that works.

And, as noted, filing a ticket with your images included for support to see what you mean.

@vwrangler Michael 4 was a bad example because if I set Areolae Diameter at -25%, the size is similar to the original figure.

Note: It seems to be an issue specific to this texture.

    Michael 6 HD + Genesis 3 (Scale: 100%) + Areolae Diameter= -25% , it's still bigger than the original skin

    Michael 6 HD + Genesis 8 (Scale: 100%) + Areolae Diameter= -25% , bigger than the original skin

  • This issue came up once in the Commercial thread: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/1128596/#Comment_1128596.

Using the Areolae Diameter and Nipple Diameter shaping morphs should give you comparable sizes, even with the Bjorn texture where the areolae extend further out than is usual.

@Cayman Studios Thank you for your reply, so there is no other morph than I could use.

Well, I will keep on hiding them with some clothes.

  • I think you'll find that the Bjorn texture on Genesis 2 Male basic shape also gives larger nipples.  Different character morphs will, of necessity, distort textures somewhat from their original shape.  The Michael 6 morph has a reduced nipple area and the Bjorn texture was designed to be used with that.

But here's something you might like to try.  On the Areolae Diameter morph, uncheck the Use Limits setting - then you can make the nipples considerably smaller!

@Cayman Studios If I set Areolae Diameter to -80%, it reduces the effect.

Thank you very much for your help.
