The Darker the better, the butteflies reign must end, long live the scarabs and beetles. I would like to see more horror-like mature designed wings like this

Oooh, that's a cool idea! I've been working on faery wings, and I like the idea of exploring insects, other than butterflies, for wing sets. I'm also creating a graphic novel, which darker more insect-y type wings would be perfect for. So this is definitely something I'll be working on. (We'll just have to see if it's something that would have to fly by Daz's review team before I could get it in the store.)
If you are going for fairy wings first, would you get some inspiration from furry moths? they are like more mystical and suit for night mistery..

Some mantis species are stunningly beautiful, take them in consideration on your product line :)

I love it, also grasshoper legs paired with grasshoper wings to plane-jump would be cool.

My favorite would be weresnails and centaur-slugs, I am tired of Nagas, those are different.
I will DEFINITELY be looking at furry moths and the strange (but beautiful) caterpillars in the link posted in the other thread. Thank you for stoking my imagination. I think I can come up with some cool stuff based on these creatures.
You made me happy as a kid on Christmas! Thanks to you.
Well, don't get too excited just yet. I'd still need to get them accepted into the store after I build them.
I am sure it will
Also I sent you a private message about it
Yes! I got your PMs. I'm doing some research and working out some design ideas. We'll see if I can come up with something decent. And you'll be the first to know. ;)
Thanks you very much
I will humbly suggest my Iridescent shaders, which are a merchant resource...
Yes! We should have a conversation some time. ;)
I am going to start learning from hexagon tutorials, because I am always doing amusing suggestions.
I would like to do art noveau architecture and old cars with hexagon.Hope I can learn on this year.
Hexagon is where I got my start too. So, if you have any questions, I'm more than happy to help you out. I'm currently muddling my way through Modo and Zbrush, but Hexagon is still my "go-to" modeling program. It's really good for what it does.
I love the art noveau art movement and a lot of the reference photos you've sent me will get good use, as I can really see integrating that style into my graphic novel (which I plan on selling the assets here in the store in my catalog as I build them.) I just need to figure out how to move forward on the characters, but I'll figure it out when I get there.
Thanks for offering some mentoring if I get lost. Let me now of your progression too. Can't wait to see your beautiful darkgrim insect-fairy world coming to life.
For anyone making a set of beetle wings, I have some suggestions for skins for the elytra. Sunburst diving beetles have beautiful wing cases, for one, and while fireflies are known for bioluminescence, the coloration of some species' elytra is also pretty nice, escpecially if there would also be a skin for Genesis 8 itself that looked like the rest of the carapace. Some longhorn beetles like the Rosalia longicorn/alpine longhorn beetle are also lookers.
