I once made the schoolboy error of putting a glass dome on a space station render... I gave it up after 10 hours and it hadn't even finished it's second pass... I think that was Bryce 3(D) on a Mac IICX. laugh

  • My first Bryce machine was a Power  Mac 7100 - 66 MHZ CPU, 16 MB RAM and a 250 MB HD. It's been an interesting journey to my curremt 2009 Mac: 8 x 2.26 GHZ CPU, 8 GB RAM and 240 GB HD.

Jamahoney - Well, to my best of my memory, the rendering setting was up there. The Mac G3 was built like a horse even though the Radial Lights in Bryce 5 slowed down the rendering.

mermaid010 - Music, and friends made me leave the house :-) Patience came later when I got married :-)

Chohole - Nice job on the castle; this is when the boolean wireframes were...challenging.

ed3D - It was days; I counted them all :-)

Horo - I believe it; I remember doing night scenes and having to wait days as well.

_Remark, being "perhaps they misspoke  and meant hours"

    Not questioning your remark_
