DIM changed path??
I have been gone for about a month and admit, I haven't been able to keep up-to-date with all the new changes discussed in the forums. However, I did install the updated DIM as well as the new D|S version 4.6.0.18 (Windows 8 - 64-bit). Just by chance, when I was using trying to insert items from my library and the program couldn't find a whole bunch of files, I checked the DIM Installation path. It had changed!! From what I had in the old DIM version:
C:\Users\M-A\Documents\Daz 3D\Studio\My Library
to
C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\My DAZ 3D Library
And now, when I try to change the path in DIM, I get cautioned that my old path contains files not installed by DIMA (I know that) and that an empty folder is recommended.
What gives?

The My DAZ 3D Library is the default library for DIM. To use My Library you have to add that in. The warning about containing items not installed by DIM is been that way since it was released. It recommends that you use a clean library but it isn't required.
The "My DAZ 3D Library" path has been DIM's default path since DIM was first launched. Maybe you had changed it manually when you initially installed it? I use the "My DAZ 3D Library" location for my content that DIM manages, and "My Library" for other things, including third-party content.
If you want to add the "My DAZ 3D Library" location as a content directory in DAZ Studio, so that DAZ Studio can see things that DIM has put there, follow the instructions here: https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/entries/23624648-Adding-Content-installed-by-Install-Manager-to-DAZ-Studio-or-Poser
It's possible to use the same folder for DIM and non-DIM content, but it's highly recommended that you don't do this (I'm not entirely sure of the reasons). If you want to change the installation location, see Step 4 of this page: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/install_manager/userguide/configure_install_manager/tips/setup_my_download_locations/start
Thanks to both of you for the answers. I must have changed the path when I originally installed DIM. I'll have to do some thinking about how I want to set things up. Luckily, I have several dated backups of both the CMS and the My Library.
