HDRI creation question: how to create flat bottom on spherical image?

Hi. I have noticed on a few of the nice hdris released recently that they seem to have a flat bottom. I am wondering how this warping is achieved. My own spherical 360 camera stitching software outputs completely spherical images, but some of the ones in daz seem to be spherical with a flat-bottom. Any idea of how this is done would be appreciated.

Thank you!

If it was photographed on a flat surface it should appear to be with the floor enabled

since you need at least two images and a tripod most would be taken on a flat surface

however if you had a drone with two fisheye lenses mounted opposite you would obviously be in mid air.

It is a 360 camera mounted on a tripod at about 5 feet high.I will give it a shot! Thank you!

my stitching kind of sucks (and I didn’t use a tripod to take the two shots)

    and it’s not a HDRi

That did it! Image quality with 360 camera sucks, but one day it will be good i think!

Not sure which products you are talking about, but in IRay, choosing "Infinite Sphere w/Ground" for a dome mode should do the trick. The actual HDRI is the same as normal.
