4.10 won't start

So I upgraded from 4.9 and Daz wouldn't start, no visible splash screen, no visible product. I get the icon on the task bar but nothing on screen and I need to kill it with Task Manager.

So I unisntalled and tried to reinstall from scratch but I get the same results

Here's a link to the log file - it wouldn't attach to this post :(

  • It looks as if you have issues with the Content Management System, and also with the content directories. That could be down to your security software, or it might happen if you had at soem time run DS or DIM as administrator (right-clicked and selected run as Administrator - if you haven't ever done that good, and don't do it now).

  • OK... so what do I do to fix it?

That depends on the cause - have you run the application(s) as administrator in the past? What is your security software? How did you install?

  • I don't think I've run it as Admin since I re-installed it. I'm running Kaspesky. I installed using IM

Oddly it's started working, however I get an error message saying "A valid PostgreSQL CMS connection could not be established"  and any login attemppt fails when I try, also none of my content shows

Both Dax and PostGre seem to have permissions in Kapersky (see screenshot)

Everything (ie. Daz Edit - Preferences, cmscfg.json and postgresql.conf) seem to be using port 17237

  • Yay! I've fixed it!

I uninstalled the PostGre SQL from Valentina Conversion and now everything seems to be working OK

  • Check the owndershp on the ContentCluster folder (the one lsited in Edit>Preferences) by right-clicking, selecting Properties, then looking at the Security tab.
