Saving To External Hard Drive

My hard Drive is finally filling up- mostly with Duf files and associated Daz project files/folders- and I need to transfer my files to an external hard-drive, anc clear out much of the space-taking files from my main hard drive.

Will I still be able to load my saved character and set files from an external drive, and use them?

If I do this, what are the steps to insure it will work?

(This mainly has to do with my saved content, not Daz product.)

  • Saved scenes can be opened from anywhere, as long as they can still find their content in the same relative paths in the content directories (which may, of course, be an issue for you in light of the problems in your other thread). Moving the saved .duf files won't break anything more though.

    Thank you.

I just read this post, I left a related question to a followup reply, on our other thread, so I will not repeat it.  You have helped a lot!

Hi there! I am experiencing the same issues - is there a link to the article that contains the fix for this? I need to figure out how to link the path for saved content on my External Drive, thanks!
