I want to learn to create gels for lighting in DS PRO 4.6...

I am working on a project that will require some creative shadows. I can "build" a an actual object to produce the shadows that I need, but since they will not be seen in the actual renders I would like to try creating my own gels to get the lighting effects I need. Daz has some really nice looking gel packages, but I need something a little more custom. Can anybody tell me how to do this or point me in the direction of a good tutorial?

Thanks in advance!

You can create gel lights in shader mixer.

There are some links in my signature to tutorials and documentation. If I remember correctly there are gel lights listed in thread. Check ReDaves post on the first page on how to get the images to work. The thread is the top link.

Specifically, see this thread: http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=116689. Whenever you hit a picture starting with "postimages" you copy the text inside the quotes (e.g. in ketthrove's first post: "postimages/origimage_1_1889187.jpg") and paste it in your address bar such that it replaces viewtopic.php?t=###, to end up with: http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/postimages/origimage_1_1889187.jpg.

Thanks for all the help! I think I've finally got a handle on this now.
