How to move Textures directory folder to a new drive question

I'd like to move my too-large DAZ textures folder to a new drive, as it's taking up way too much space on my startup volume. I've tried putting an alias to the new location for the Textures folder at the same location of the pre-moved Textures folder, but Studio doesn't see it.
Anyone have any idea how to make this work? I'm running the latest Studio 4.6 and am running OSX 10.6.8

First, this is not how the Poser content was designed back in 1993, so this might brake everything if you try that.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - TRY THIS WITH CARE
There is a way that "might" work, I say might as theoretically it might, but it can also break, as long as all content has correct paths in it you could be able to Create a correct /Runtime/Textures directory on a second drive, copy the textures folder there. You test, do that then rename the old working Textures to xTextures, if it works it works, but some items might flake.
Totte - Okay, that didn't work. Anyone else have any ideas?
Make sure you've added the folder containing that Runtime folder as a Poser-format content folder, or else DS won't know to look there.
