Animation and DAZ 4.6
I'm having a lot of problems removing animations! I loaded an animation file it played fine a few times then the figure was suddenly all over the screen. I removed the animation, I thought by using the - sign in animate2, but when I pressed play it was still there. I went to the menu and figure/clear animation/clear figure, no change in scene so I cleared figure pose, still no change. I then tried clear figure shape and still no change in the scene or the figure, and the animation remained. I then tried to clear the scene. Daz did nothing, after waiting several minutes I tried to load a scene and it asked if I wanted to save the current scene! WTF is going on with this new version? I never had these problems before. And back to animate2, why can't I delete aniblocks after moving them into place? It only allows rename no delete? How am I supposed to remove an aniblock once it's in place? I finally had to shut down DAZ, losing everything I had done over the past few hours. Looks like I need to save my progress a lot, so I don't lose everything at once.

That sounds like smoothing modifier doing its thing during the animation work. Try to turn it off for all clothing items while you work on your animation. Also, AniMate2 and the Timeline can send the animation to each other: if you are working on the AniMate timeline, though, don't expect the any of the "clear animation", which work exclusively with the standard Timeline, to do anything.
To clear an AniBlock click on it once and then select the Trash icon. If it wasn't available at all, then I daresay you may have run out of memory.
And if you have many aniblocks on the truck, and you hope to remove it,
select the truck (click labell of the truck, the Labell turn yellow colloer as default)
then click the BIG minus icon (which remove sub-track (and main track too). of the left uuper side.
it can clear all animation (aniblock) with the Track of the figure.
the poze of the frame where you click the minus icon, are set on start frame.
==================================================
then if you play animation (animate timeline or daz timeline) and check the animation by camera ,
then change view, it auto record the camera movements and set the key in daz timeline.
that means,, while Animate timeline aniblocks has not been changed, and not modfied,
but only Camera animation recorded on daz timeline, and you can see both animation at same time.
So that if you check your Animate 2 animation,, select Perspect view .
the prespect view will not be recorded in DAZ timeline.
Thanks! This gives me a bit more info on what to do next time. Since the figure didn't have clothes yet, I was just trying to get the animation down, that narrows it down some. I think it may have been a memory problem like you suggest, not sure how much DAZ eats. My system has 8GB of ram, and and about the same for the pagefile. There was no trashcan, and I have seen the trashcan now after shutting down DAZ, clearing memory and optimizing memory. The next time I used animate2 I did see the other options for animation after clicking on an aniblock also, so again looks like you are right about possibly a memory problem. I had another problem before the problems with the animation when I couldn't pose a figure using the preset poses in the content library. I had about 4 figures and none of them worked! I could manually pose them but even had some problems with that. I thought it might have been too many modifications to the base figure and started deleting figures but nothing helped...that sounds like a memory problem also to me. Not sure what to do about that, my system is maxed out on memory. Any suggestions?
