Best Method for Rigging Custom Cloth?

Hi all,
So, I've just recently started using DAZ Studio (version 4.10 Pro), and I'm having a rough time rigging a custom cloth for Genesis 3 base figure.
Here's a quick overview of my usual workflow:
- Export G3 figure and import it into Blender
- Create a custom mesh that nicely fits the G3 base figure
- Export the custom mesh/cloth as OBJ
- Import the custom cloth into DAZ Studio (Note: When the custom cloth is imported, it is at a perfect position where it is "covering" the G3 figure as it should)
- Use the Transfer Utility (Settings are shown in the attachment)
As soon as Step 5 is done, I see the custom cloth being placed well above the base figure. In this particular case, my custom cloth is a tank top. So, I selected "shirt" as the Projection Template as well as the Content Type. It's as if the center of the custom cloth is way above the center of the base figure. And I've tried a number of different things (mostly guess work) to no avail.
I'd really appreciate any tips/suggestions/insight on what I might be doing wrong and how to properly rig custom meshes within the DAZ Studio.

If it's a base Genesis 3 female why are you setting the Sasha shape as Current source shape? I suspect that you are working with the Sasha shape - and that it includes some scaling or translation, which won't be reversed out. You should be able to salvage the situation - check the parametrs to see what scaling or translation (probably on the hip) is being aplied and reverse that on the outfit, either in Blender or in DS and then export/import the modified OBJ. The Transfer should then be able to handle the actual shape.
@Richard -- Thanks for the tip!
Just so I'm clear on what you stated, can this correction be made after the Transfer Utility function has been applied? Or should this be done prior to using the TU?
Cheers!
It needs to be doen before the Transfer Utility, as that can reverse out a shape (literally, morph deltas) but not scaling or translation. In future you should make sure, if you are modelling around a character, that you have zeroed any transforms before exporting the OBJ to use as a mannequin.
