Regions - How to create 'children' ?????

I'm experimenting with my Tri-Ax Aiko 3 again, but I'm having a real problem with regions, I can create them all right, I just can't find any way to parent/child them, as a result they don't work like they do in Genesis.

So how do you assign "Parent" and "Child" to the regions ?

    Hi Bejaymac...

The only way I have found to set the Parent / Child relationship of Regions is to edit the figures base .dsf file...

I can create the Regions and the empty Parent Regions from the Polygon Editor, but that's it... I haven't found an option inside Studio to create the relationship...

Maybe it's there and I'm to dumb to find it... ;-P I hope that's the case and someone can point it out...

after set region groups in poligon group editor,
Have you tried to set relationship in porperty editor?

becaues,, I think in left pane of property editor,
we can drug and move each region group to set relation ship about each other.
    I have thought so.

but you and niccipb say there seems no way,
I may say different or wrong things.

I try to test my way but, now my property editor with genesis seems be unstable
so first I need to adjust them. (need to move some morph files to another data directory, I think,,
    and re-organize,, my genesis morphs,,)

    Hi kitakoredaz...

I haven't found anyway in the Property Editor to set Region groups, let alone find them even listed in the PE...

And the PE is unstable for me as well, especially with Genesis... I have to be very careful about what I'm doing or it will crash DS, and some selections cause an immediate crash... it will also crash on it's own after awhile...

It reminds me of one of the earlier 4.5 versions instability...

    No oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! mggg,,,, TT;)
    I was wrong, as usually,,,

My plan can not work as you both mentioned already @@ ;)

wooo,,,, I am so hesitate to join this topic, because have not checked yet,,, but simple belived so.
property editor may do for grouping and set region hielalchy, when I apply property,,

but It can not work , with region tool, in shaping tab,, as I expected.
I know,, we can select region, in shaping tab region navigation tool,, but it can not show me as same as genesis,,
    even though I set group.

I may need to learn how to set rigeion group to keep parent and children.
    s,s,s,s,so,, sorry,,,,bejaymac,,and nicci,,, to intrude your topic,,,

Thanks nicci, it's nice to know I'm not the only one that can't find a way to do it in DS, and editing them in a text editor isn't an issue for me, as that's what I was doing, it's just I've already got the regions created and the polygons allocated to them, and at 70k poly that leaves quite a few really big chunks of code to move around in the DSF.
