Decreasing render time in DazStudio

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

Ok, I just installed the new DazStudio 4.6, worked great until I got to the render part. I started rendering and WOW the rendering was going really fast with uber environment+lights+plus high quality. The problem is that it renders to fast and is using to much of my CPU. What can I do to make it render slower and with less CPU? I'm using the same settings that I used with DAZ 4.5 and I never got this problem there. I don't mind if the render is slow as a turtle as long as it is good quality and it doesn't crash my computer. :|

If your not comfortable with using a script. You can while DS is running, open your task manager go to processes, find DAZStudio.exe, right click it and select Set Affinity. From there you can select how many cores you would like DS to use. Please remember if you don't use a script for this you will have to do this each time you open DAZ Studio
