UberSoft Lights and Indirect Lighting

Do UberSoft lights register properly as light sources? I don't think so.
In my experiments with US lights and the Indirect Light feature on the Master, I see no difference even with IDL cranked to 200%. Nor does rendering through an Indirect Light Camera cause any difference.
The only other possibility to try would be to add a UE light set to GI Bounce, and I am not sure how well that would work or if the two were ever intended to work together in anyway.
Can anyone verify this, or tell me that I am barking up the wrong tree or just barking mad?
//UE 2 set to GI bounce does actually seem to function. Do I not properly understand what is going on with GI Bounce VS IDL VS IDL Camera?

Definitely feeling like I do not have the grasp on Indirect Lighting that I thought I had.
It sure would be nice if we had.... ummm.... documentation.
As far as I am aware IDL doesn't mean what we thinking it migjht mean but enables colour bleeding from one surface to another. You will not see any other differences when using IDL apart from that. At one stage in testing I rasied the Max Ray Trace depth up to 10 and saw no difference at all in where the light got to.
UE2 and GI The only time GI will work is if you use the GI preset Icon. That will load UE2 in GI mode and in this mode the HDRI is ignored but it will bounce light around the scene for the other lights the you must have in the scene.
As for the documentation..me too. One of my pet peeves.
