Why No Dates On Sale Items?

Why is there no expiration date on sale items letting us know when an item goes off sale? Every other site I visit lets their customers know when an item goes off sale so why not here?

This has bugged me for some time, at least since the move to this new site when I noticed this problem. After looking up a few things the last few days and about to purchase them today, I find out that they were just taken off sale. If I knew when the sale ended on them I would have picked them up before the sale ended. So much for buying them anytime soon.

It's an incentive for people to check the shop routinely.

Anyway, your nickname is hilarious, found something suitable online:

For me it just makes me want to shop elsewhere. I like to know how much time I have until something goes off sale so I can make sure I have the money to get them. I cant afford to buy to much as it is so sales are what I live on these days.

I understand, though it's not up to us to decide what DAZ3D does.

The pic was something I googled, and selected as there were some pretty grotesque ones out there of Ewok Zombies, and I don't want to freak out the mods.

Even still, it doesnt seem like a very smart move on thier part. Just like not sending out email notifications of items in your wishlist that go on sale, like they used to do once upon a time.

I sort of remember it had to do something with how the site was constructed, however I do agree, it's a peculiar glitch and shouldn't be that hard to take care of

Well, that's what you should do. It's the one and only way to effectively give feedback to DAZ.

Actually the best way to give feedback to DAZ 3D is to contact DAZ 3D and give them the feedback.

Daz employees don't read the forums? Not even scan the topics trending for the day? If so that's shame and huge missed oppertunity in many respects.

My post was a direct response to Barubary's comment.

And although Daz 3D employees will on occasion browse the forums, they are actually more concerned with running the Company, and not with reading every post in the forums. which are provided for the benefit of the forum members.

I understand - and realize that they must have the interest to scan the forums, even if unofficially. I struggle to run several businesses, work 16 hrs/day and still keep up with about half a dozen forums. Thanks in many part to the tablet that took place of the magazine rack... never mind that- - shouldn't go there..

Customers have been asking for sale end dates for quite some time now, but to no avail.

I already do a lot more shopping elsewhere. Places that do show the length of sales, still have freebies without having to buy anything, send out email notifications of wishlist items going on sale and better overall coupon deals and customer reward programs.

I’m only buying things here that are on Fast Grab sales that interest me or I’m after, items on my wishlist IF I find out they are on sale and needed base figures and items which there are very few of since I don’t care for Genesis and the generation 5 series.

I very much doubt that. Companies think in money, sending them pretty words mean little to nothing as long as they do not feel any kind of financial sting. People spending their money elsewhere leads to the company making less money leads to - hopefully - the company wanting to change to make more money again. A customer complaining is just a nuisance if there is no real incentive for the company to actually change. The only thing contacting DAZ is really going to achieve is making it easier for them to figure out what is going wrong IF they realize that sales are dropping. So I am not saying one shouldn't do that also. Just that DAZ is unlikely to care about something as long as they think that not caring will not cost them.

This topic actually is the perfect example. People have been frequently complaining about the lack of end dates ever since the store change. So far, that didn't even make DAZ give as much as a statement on the issue, let alone change anything.

I think that there is little debate over whether or not this lack of clear dates is an inconvenience for the customer. But DAZ apparently believes things are more profitable this way and I wouldn't be surprised if they are right. So things stay this way until DAZ is led to believe otherwise.
