Drinkable drinks (found!)

I have quite a few full or partly-full drinking glasses in my inventory--wine, beer, champagne, etc.--but none in which the potable's surface is tilted, as if the poter (I just made that up) were about to take a sip. To use them convincingly in a scene they must be held bolt upright, which in my experience isn't how people actually drink. The attached quickie render illustrates the problem.

Not to single out the products I used in the render (https://www.daz3d.com/beer-drinking-props, https://www.daz3d.com/have-a-drink-on-me-poses), which were sold in tandem when I bought them. The beer looks yummy and the poses are fine. The fact is, I've never seen what I'm requesting here (see thread title).

If someone were to make an assortment of drinkable-looking drinks to fill this need, I bet they'd sell.

  • Yeah, I'd wager something like this could be handled with a dialable morph in the glass or mug itself, where one can adjust the angle and level of the fluid appearing inside by spinning the dials.

That would be sweet, though I'd be willing to settle for a fixed angle (or a range of angles) and adjust the characters' poses as necessary. It seems such an obvious need I'm surprised no one seems to have addressed it.

Thanks for pointing that out! I'll probably find uses for it 'as is' after converting the textures to Iray, but even as proof of concept it's great!yes

Yep. The glasses in Everyday Drinks have Tilt morphs for drinking and Level morphs to change the amount in the glass. Same with the bottles.

I must have been having an extra-slow day yesterday: failing to notice that the beer glass has morphs, and not thinking "Check to see if maclean has morphable drinking glasses."smiley

Understandable. I made the product, but before I posted, I had to open it and check the morphs to make sure I was remembering correctly. LOL. Most times, I can't remember what's in my older products.
