One thing I often have regrets about is that when new products come out at a temporarily discounted price, we do get to know about the discount but there is no indication of how long that discount will last. It's something customers have at "the other places", both RE and RO. Why not here, Daz? It would really be a nice attention for us, your customers :)

I was wondering that too how long are stuff on sale from the time they come out or if it just went on sale it would be nice to know it may determine if I can buy something.

It's simple:

1) Check the store often. Usually a product is intro'd for about a week, special promotions are about 2-3 days depending if you see included in the scrolling banner on the main page. This has been the setup for years.

2) You don't get a date because sales are variable...depending on how a product is selling the date may be extended or reduced... so check the store often.

3) If you don't check the store often and you see an item on sale, you can decide on whether to buy it now if you need it or not. 

4) You can check the new releases and go to the page where you see items off the intro sale... the items at the end of the list that are still on sale will be going off sale that night.. and work your way back from that.

It's not hard to figure out how the store is run.

Introductory sales, the basic 30% off, usually last for a fortnight. As MM says, special discounts on top of that are usually limited to two or three days.
