I Need help on how to make text and shapes with a NEON effect in Hexagon, please

I have quite some 2D Photoshop tutorials to create neon effects but want to try it in 3D on objects such as text and various shapes.  I have done a 2D neon animation with Paint Shop Pro's Animation Shop on one of my 3D Bryce scenes but that is postwork and not the real thing.  Do anyone know how to do neon in Hexagon? Any tutorials?

    You could create the model of the neon tube in Hexagon a few different ways; however, Hexagon would not be able to create a glow effect that would export to a rendering application.

    One method is to draw a curve and add Thickness.
