I tried to install DazStudio 4.6
I lost several hours for the installation which is worthless.
There are too many dependences.
Only PoserPro allows to make some good work.

    What problem are you having?

    Hi,

DazPoser 4.0 achieves a clean and professional installation.
DazStudio 4.6 isn't a true upgrade but an installer that puts the big mess in the directories.
In the end, nothing works. There are many problems of dependencies.
    I'm not happy.
With the updates of PoserPro, we have no problem.
Finally, it is better to stay at version 4.0

DS 4.6 is a new version, not a patch. DS 4.0 needs to be uninstalled - the installer will do this for you - as diffrent versions of 4.x, with the same bit-depth, can't coexist. Did you allow the installer to remove the previous version?

The installation of the version 4.6 isn't professional.
A very competent user indicates that it is necessary to use CCleaner. It isn't normal!

No, this person specifically says, "If You've Had Problems Installing Daz Studio In The Past", you may want to do a clean install to clean up whatever past errors there are. Most people do not need to do so. If you are having problems, and you can tell us more specifically what they are, we can try to help you resolve them. Have you used the technique Rolando describes?
