Dynamic clothing/hair?
I was wondering if Optitex dynamics work with the newer versions of Daz, and if so how do you get them to work correctly?

From what I can see on the site, they're all for older versions of Daz and the site looks since dead. Of course I'm anticipating a dynamic hair tool or customization in Daz 5 and later (hopefully) but even so it seems so long to wait. Most animations I do now is simply adjusting the hair morphs back and forth (to simulate walking, jumping, etc) but it just doesn't look as real as I want. Also would I need to buy any of the plugins to get the effect(s) I'm looking for? It just seems like Daz has so much to offer, but somewhat primitive in some areas...

It still works in DS4.6, and Martin is still making clothing (usually working along with other vendors) -- I assume he's just been too busy to work on more freebies.
Sounds good. I'm fairly new to this so what are the steps needed to apply the hair/clothes to figures? Does it need to be in a specific folder, etc?
Yeah, I use those dynamic clothes in DS4.6. They work fine.
I don't think they need to be placed in a specific folder. I have a folder path that looks something like: Content/People/(Relevant Figure)/Dynamic Clothing.
What's weird about dynamic clothing vs conforming clothing is that it shows up as a figure with a parented prop. You conform the figure to the relevant figure, then get the dynamic clothing tab from your windows. (Go Window–>Tabs–>Dynamic Clothing). Make sure the garment is selected, then hit the Drape button. Sometimes this works great. Sometimes it works strangely. And every time you repose the figure, you need to redrape. There are probably some more complete tutorials out there. As far as I can tell, dynamic clothing functions exactly the same between DS3 and DS4.
I hope that helps.
