Mayberry is a fictional town where the shenanigans of Barney Fife (deputy sheriff) took place, The Andy Griffith Show.  Close to Raleigh, which is a real town, and Mt. Pilot, also real.  Barney was played by Don Knotts.

came across some wacky characters whilst duckducking for something and thought of Carrara Cubes

so, using my body I boned and morphed one of a few that I'll try and get done when time permits..

    I don't even follow baseball!

    how wacky is that!

so it took me a while to work out which way the Homeplate has to point! how wacky!

logic told me it must point to the guy throwing the ball but I think it points to the fan holding a drink and chips behind the batter smiley

Always impressive! The texture on that bun, though, is amazing.

Stezza, you really are amazing.  Great modeling of the 'presidents' of baseball.   For someone who has never watched a full baseball game, you somehow know that the Washington DC team has four cartoon presidents as semi-mascots.  Here is a short clip of a presidents race which is run during the 4th inning of every home game.  Other Carrara-people, check out the race then take another look at Dave's models.  Amazing.

    thanks Ted,

What got me started was Llola Lanes thread in the Art Studio board and her render a month... this month ( August ) is washington DC and I know nothing about that place except for the capitol building which for years I thought was the white house but turns out there is actually a white house and it's not what I thought was the white house... very confusing especially when one thinks Washington and WashingtonDC is the same place....

anyways one of my fav mascots I have come across recently is Slugger the Sea Dog and I thought I wonder if WashingtonDC has a mascot or a baseball team... so I duckduckgo'd it... and surprise surprise I found not only big headed people but also eagles and surprisingly a shark mascot.... all for the one baseball team... Baby shark do do do do do do

that's what got me started to model the characters to create a render for the render a month thread... wacky hey! cool
Just as wacky as Washington supporters unofficial theme song laugh

Hot cross buns are big here too, but my favourite Easter treat is paska. Chocolate comes in second.

I've had it every Easter for almost my entire life. Great, my mouth's watering now and there's not an Easter in sight. sad

Bummer on the upload time.  It really is a drag.  Doscourages me from ever posting stuff that might be helped with an image, like works-in-progress, workflows, and answers to questions.

Great sports models.  You are on a roll.  yes

Nice Big-Eye, but I don't think Aiko needs to worry about being replaced by her !!!
