SOLVED - Help organising content, please?

OK... so far so good. I am using the DIM to install my content and so far everything is working. (Yay!) But I really hate where the default locations are storing things. I can live with having to have separate Poser libraries and Daz Libraries, but I want to know if there is a way to easily make adjustments to these libraries without Studio freaking out and telling me I've got something wrong? For example:

Inside my Daz Library some content creators have their products install in a vendor category. Can I eliminate the vendor category? Or will that confuse DS.

Just to be more specific:

For example: Inside my People category... I have Genesis... inside Genesis, I would like to have all clothing products listed WITHOUT the unnecessary vendor folder (like smay, Mada, etc). Can I do this? Or will it break DS?

I know how to do this with the Poser library from inside windows...but if I do this...will it break DS? For example: I can create sub categories for plants and building and stuff and move these things by hand, but I'm afraid if I do....they may stop working properly. I need to know what I can do without breaking my content.

I hope I'm making sense.

Thanks.

Jaz

Are you talking about Categories or Folders on disk? If you use Categories you can organize things however you like.

I mean the folders on disk. I have the CMS thing running for now, but I'm not sure I'm going to want it running all the time after I finish so I don't know if I am understanding correctly, but if i don't have the CMS running the categories thing won't work, am I right? So... I want to know how much if any manual organising I can do or will it mess stuff up if I try?

For example I did move some of my Genesis clothing out of vendor folders and it still seems to be working OK... lol
(I'm so not patient, huh? lol)

But where I really want to straighten things out are in props and environments and plants... Each vendor has their own way of categorising stuff so if I leave it this way everything is scattered all over and hard to find. If I go into windows and just create sub categories to drop the installed stuff into, I can organise them from inside windows but I don't know if I do this if everything will still work, so I am just trying to ask so i don't make more work for myself than i need to...lol

Okay, if you already know what's safe to move under the Runtime folder, all that you need to know for the stuff outside the Runtime folder is (1) don't touch the Data folder, and (2) don't move DS-format content into the Runtime folder, unless you are moving it into the same folder as an equivalent Poser-format item with the same filename.

Well that's nice to know. In 4.0 I was creating dummy pz2 files for DS content that had equivalent Poser content. At least I didn't have to do it by hand. o_O
