General Requests Squish / Collision Morphs

Here's a big one, and THIS GOES OUT TO ALL YOU MERCHANTS AS WELL *esp to Zev0, and Sickleyield-- you're the first merchants who come to mind with a high skill level in the morphs fix area). I am more than willing to pay for this (and actually, I rather expect to-- I don't expect a product this difficult and complicated to be released for free)

Dammit, we need squish/collision morphs for Genesis's hands, already! I'm sick and tired of half-clenched fists and other body-collision related poses that make Genesis look like it's not even putting an effort into things like action poses, grasping, tight hugging, and the like.
This problem involves the entire body, but the hands are by far the worst culprit here, and if they alone can be fixed, it would go a long way in fixing that entire "no power behind my kicks" / "only loosely holding my gun/chalice/etc" look that annoys the hell out of me.
So far we have the legs (when squatting), breasts, and backsides fixed in this sense (well, I don't think the breasts are fixed yet as far as holding the arms tightly against one's chest, but I don't see any way to fix that due to the whole arm morph variations conundrum)

I'm a little confused about what you're wanting with the hands? Usually if they appear to be holding something loosely it's because the user didn't pose them to close tightly enough. Hovering off the body itself is more often a clothing issue - clothes with collision on will forcibly clip through the body if they're over a body part and you press the hand down on them.

"I’m a little confused about what you’re wanting with the hands?"

Human skin is squishy. However, there are no "squish" morphs for the hands, which means that Genesis cannot tightly clench a fist without the fingers penetrating the palm and the like (but esp. the palm). I can't seem to get a very tight fist without the thumb penetrating the fingers, either.
I'd like to see morphs to flatten parts of the fingers and palms so that Genesis can clench a tight fist, and also tightly grasp something like say-- a weapon.

This problem covers far more than the hands-- the feet are another major culprit, but I'm not sure that is fixable without either revamping the poses for most conforming footware (unless the Sickle Rigging System can deal with this and create creases at the bend of the top of the foot) When I see characters in action poses, they don't look like they have their feet very solidly planted on the ground. This is because there are no squish morphs for the feet, and therefore characters cannot plant their feet very solidly on the ground without said feet penetrating the floor. Plus I wouldn't be surprises if bent-forward shins at more extreme angles would look bad (such as when crouching on all fours)

Holding one's arms tightly against the body are another problem. Squish morphs/movements for the breasts tackle this problem at least to some degree, but there is still the problem with the rest of the torso. However, this isn't nearly as significant in getting a nice, tensed up look when jumping, running, cocking one's arm back, landing, etc. Or at least, when I look at such poses, it;s the fists and feet that stand out the most.

I'll post links to some DAZ and Sharecg screenshots in a bit to showcase exactly what I'm talking about if anyone needs visual examples.

Visuals are always helpful. In fact, that's the #1 thing I ask for when products are requested. ;)

I think he means impact morphs. If you press the tips of your fingers down on a table, they don't hold their shape, they *squish*. lol

If you clench your fist hard enough, your palm sinks in.

    Things like that.

^^Bingo. (I'm female, BTW. Not that it's a big deal)

I can still get those visual examples if you need them.

Ah, so "impact morphs" is the more technical term?

Would love a "presses face and hands to a window" morph ;-)

I'm female, also.. so is Sickle up there, and Cho. lol Totte seems to be the odd man out in this thread, literally. =P

I picked up the term impact morphs from one of Zev0's movement kits. It listed impact morphs and showed what you were describing. Collision in DS is usually something dealing with smoothing and getting clothing to stop having skin poke through, or good when layering clothing, so the term often gets misinterpreted when using it in terms of morphing.

Ha! You got me with the old "avatar of the opposite sex" thing guys are always doing with pictures of hot girls. I think people online are too used to a neutral presentation meaning male and only assuming someone is female if they're like "Tee hee! I have pigtails and lipstick! I love to shop for shoes!"* I blame the sex chat bots.

I think before I embarked on a project this challenging to integrate I would wait and see how people feel about the next big thing. It's going into the "maybe" list, and then conditional on whether Zev0 picks it up before I do. He is the master of body morphing. ;)

I've noticed that the 3D modelling and texturing design demographic (at least humanoid characters and clothing, anyhow) seems to be dominated by women (esp. middleaged and retired ones-- I'm just a little bit younger than that, but not by much) while the lighting, shaders, and other more formulatic areas seem to (at least as far as I can tell) be dominated by men. Props seem like they're evenly split down the middle, maybe tipped slightly towards the male demographic.
Well, except for the fetishware clothing/accessory models-- that is definitely a male-dominated area. Some of the female 3D modellers I can name off my head (both free, commercial, and mixed) are Andularina (I think I misspelled that), Aprilysh, Arah3D, Chohole, Elleque, the late Francemi, Freefashion, Jan19, Goldenthrush, Mairy, Propschick, Sickleyield, Sione, Trekkiegrrrl/Mylochka, Trumarcar, Valea, and Wilmap.

Male modellers I can name off my head are fewer-- Adzan, Arrogathor, Karth (or at least I assume Karth is male) PCGaijin (at least I think PC Gaijin is a guy--- I never really looked into that) PhilC, Richabri, Seisui (I think), and Yamato. (I assume Adamthwaites is also male, and I'm pretty sure SixtusX is as well.)

There are several other modellers off the top of my head, but it dawns on me that I don't know what their genders are, either.

Would love a “presses face and hands to a window” morph wink
Oh, yes, you know people would have fun with that. And it would have to come with a "bonus" set of similar morphs for the Milcat.

Opal: a great deal of the shaders for DS are currently made by whom I think are gals: Fisty, Maraieh, and zigraphix are among my top favorite shader makers. :)
Edit: not to leave out SY's shaders for DS, either! :)

Uh, for that, why not just set genesis to collide with the window?

    Khory's a GIRL????? gah. I totally thought Khory was a boy's name >_< eep.

Of course... :) I like your water shaders quite a bit!
Then again, I collect shaders obsessively ^^

we don't need another morph set, we need a realtime squish/collision/ragdoll dynamic system in studio with the help of bullet physics engine.
'm tired of hands, arms, legs that move inside the figure.
what about turn fingers around an arm or object with 1 push on a button. no more manually pose every finger.

I think there is a "grip" dial for Genesis, I remember seeing it...and using it actually, then making little adjustments.
