Do the DAZ Administrators know that the Smileys are broken?

The forum Smileys have been nonfunctional for a long time now. There seems to be no attempt to fix them.
Are the DAZ Admins aware of the problem?
Do they even care that they're not working?
Would an Admin please take action on this?

☺☻ There has been some discussion about the problem in several threads in several forums.

I think they mean admins as far as the powers that be behind the inner workings of making Daz and it's forums run.
When I refer to "Admins", I am of course referring to DAZ employed system administrators.
You say that this has been reported? By what means? Has the problem been acknowledged by a DAZ employee?
Is it now simply "working as intended"? I can't believe replacing a single url in forum configuration takes so much time unless it's intentional.
If you are using Firefox browser with greasemonkey extension, you can fix the smileys locally with this simple script (based on a google redirector script I found somewhere):
Ha! :-D
That's the response that was sometimes given in the Carrara forum when someone would complain about a feature that didn't work as expected, but didn't actually crash the software. "Working as intended."
I logged a technical support ticket concerning the smileys over five weeks ago, and just got through logging a follow up today.
The response to my first ticket was more or less "thanks for reminding us, but don't expect a quick fix".
I'm pretty sure that the smileys have been broken for months now.
If you uncheck the option: "Enable smileys in this post", at least you can still use text based smileys. Unfortunately, I don't think most users are aware of that setting. :-(
What's sad is the smilies in the forumarchive are still displaying properly.
It's a simple fix, either just redirect the url in the forum backend to the current location, and if it's a storage location issue, just upload them somewhere else and redirect the url to point there. Smilies are tiny, they don't take up a lot of space.
Hell, point the current forum software to the location of the old forums smilies. Problem solved.
What Skippy, the smilies are broken, struth Bruce what we going to do. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
We are going to make posts with loads of smileys is what we are going to do  :coolsmirk: %-P and it might make the smileys start working again

Just kidding! ;-P

I think it was in the Victoria 6 thread, somewhere near the end, the DAZ_Jon added a line to one of his posts something like this: "smileys still broken? Someone should fix that." (May not be exact quote). And I think he is the head of the web support group . . .
I was just going to open a new thread declaring the Smileys are back! :P Oh well Happy days are here again... :) :) :) :)
lmao
Bite your tongue.
That said, YAY FOR THE SMILEYS!!!!! :-) :cheese: ;-) :coolsmirk:
