I am wondering if anyone is working on or if there may be one in a store somewhere, Ball Joint Doll For Genesis.

The DAZ store has Kiyoko by MindVision G.D.S. According to the product description, she was based on Japanese ball joint dolls.

^With visible joints and what not? I wouldn't mind one of those too. Would go good with some ideas I've got.

Something like this, but with Genesis compatibility:

Ball Joint Doll is still available directly from Studio Maya. It's a stand alone figure like Maya Doll and the Anime Doll kit.

And I'm going to assume not compatible whatsoever with Genesis, which is sort of the point of this thread.

Just to add my two cents if you wish to go that route - Studio Maya has a very bad customer support. I bought some items from their store which promised bonuses upon purchase but bonus links weren't working and my two emails to Studio Maya (direct and through Renderosity) were left without a slightest response.

No, it isn't. It pre-dates Genesis by many years. It even pre-dates DS 1.

Yes it is an older model, which why I would like to see something similar for Genesis.

Fuseling and I are planning a jointed doll character set for Genesis this fall. Not that I'm calling dibs if someone jumps on it before then (or has already done it). ;)

Yea, some of the renders I've seen with the original doll were downright creepy. I'd love to see that for Genesis Shay. If anyone can pull it off you can! :-)

Quite creepy. We also need a Creepy the Clown. Remember those renders from way back when?

I use Stan from Andi/Mutedbanshee if I need a good creepy clown. I haven't really found any clowns that particularly creep me out, but I tend to float toward the dark side of life to begin with. /shrug

Indeed. Although, I've also been getting into standalones too since sometimes I just can't find that heightened creep factor in character morphs (think Sanctumarts).

Yes that team really did it good. BUT I do think MB and Co do a very good job. Some of the stuff I cant' even look at! lol

If by MB and Co you mean MutedBanshee and Andi3d (now combined as Mortem Vetus), I love their stuff and have been growing my collection ever since I first found them. That husband/wife duo is really a match made in hell, and I mean that in the best possible way. =D

there's absolutely nothing in it at the moment, so yep, that'd be ok.

    *laughs*

Seriously, I'll put in a purchase pre-order for a jointed doll for Genesis for now. LOL. Especially if it comes with a couple of creepy textures (think: samildinach) for it, or if they are planned as an add on.

The creepier and scarier a texture is for Genesis, the more I love it.
