genesis and deformers?

Trying to apply a deformer to a genesis clothing item to no avail.

Am I missing something? I've used deformers before, and magnets too. I'm no expert but I have a clue.

Do they not work with genesis items?

    Do you have smoothing on?

Both off and on. Deformer field appears when the item is not fit to Genesis, but once fit to Genesis, the field no long appears on the object.

What version of DS are you using? I remember that there was a version where deformers did not work. Do you have 4.6.0.18?

Did you select the root of the object? E.g., you cannot load a dformer on Genesis' head, but you can load it on the main root of genesis and then move it to affect only the head.

Yes, root of the object. Its NOT Genesis itself, but the M5 Boxers. Legs do not drape properly in a reclined pose and I just want to pull the fabric down to the skin more naturally.

Perhaps there is some other way to achieve this?

Same should hold true for the boxers, lemme check them.

An alternative solution would be to have the boxers collide with genesis.

M5 Boxers work for me with DForm on the root.

    Even when conformed to Genesis?

I even went so far as to attach the deformer THEN conform, and the field just disappears.

Colliding with Genesis does not help the drape... like most shorts the bends end up having the end of the thigh resting ABOVE the flesh rather than on it.

ok, so I see no issues on my work machine. Everything functions as expected.

Why is my home machine different? I hope the scene is not somehow corrupted, lot of work went into it.

Start off by making sure you've got the latest version of the shorts installed I'd think.
