CMS on wine

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

Hello,

I'm a linux (Kubuntu) user and I've been trying to get DAZ 4.6 Pro to work on wine. It install more or less fine, but the CMS crashes every time I want to use a wine app (even those unrelated to Daz) so I don't have any content at all...
This is the first time I'm trying to use Daz. I have a 64 bits computer, but I'm running the 32 bits version because I couldn't get the 64 bits to work.
Could anyone help please??

You only need CMS for Smart Content and Categories, open Content Library pane under Windows/Panes.

    Thank you very much.
This works, as far as I can tell. I'm still figuring out exactly how Daz works, so I didn't find that one on my own. Thanks for the help.
Although, if possible, I would still like to try and solve this CMS problem and see if I can get the full thing...
    Any ideas?

When the ContentManager crashes, it often leaves a corrupt database behind and will crash every time thereafter. What i do is: remove all the database files from the cms' data directory (ContentDB.blb, ContentDB.dat, ContentDB.ind, ContentDB.vdb and master.vdb). And then from DAZ Studio's Content management menu, choose "Reset Database" and then "Reimport metadata" (takes a while). This repairs it and is holds for a month or so.

Thanks for the reply. The thing is, as far as I can tell, cms' databases folder is completely empty, I don't have those files...
