Dynamic Lady dress for V4

Hi all,

I am a complete noob at Daz methodology, in a previous post you helped me get past the 'Bald Cutie' level. Yes I got some cloths on my fantasy lady! However the intersecting cloths with the figure is making me frustrated again, with normal cloths. It is quite demoralising to manage to fit a garment to the figure, then to see it not stay with the figure when you use a pose or animation.

Again this might be me being naive, but are dynamic cloths better at 'hugging the figure in the pose or animation?
I was wondering if Dynamic lady dress has a fit too option? Is it applied in a different way? The right click it is giving me a parent to option but that is all?

How do you use this dress?

Maybe my expectations are to high, in that I think there is a magic option that will do everything for me. If this is the case please let me know. I don't mind putting the work in if I know it is possible?

Thank yo in advance.

Julian

That is a Poser dynamic dress, not a DS one. The two versions of dynamic clothing are not compatible.

    Ah ok...Ok I might get a refund.

Is Dynamic clothing generally better and easier to use?

there is no magic option, you will have to put in the time to come to grips with all the different formats and technology to get great results with this type of software. the objects/figures you see in the screen are all made of mesh (virtual play-doh) and it can get real tricky trying to get all the mesh to play well together.. You have 2 main types of clothing options, conforming and dynamic. Conforming are designs made to fit a specific figure and to bend with that figure. optionally there will be support with the clothing for other morph styles based on the main figure.

Dynamic clothing is basically just plain, basic mesh that depending on which app you use will drape around any other figure or object. There are also lots of different variables as to how the cloth will react with the objects or figures it touches depending on the app, more so in poser.
Both have their pros and cons

    good luck
