DIM not installing content
The Daz install manager is not installing my content.
Right now, it says I have over 200 products that are not installed, all of which are working and in my library. Next, its not installing the new content to my library. I tried it today with the new "Toxic" product in the freebies, and after downloading and installing, it did not appear. I went through my runtime looking for the product folders and could not find them. The zip folders are saving to the downloads folder in the dim, but its not going from there.
I have not altered any settings in DIM to make it not work right. All of the settings are still in the defaults.
I did try changing the installation path to my library, but the smart content doesn't work. The content library has it, but the smart content tab is showing 'file does not exist'. Ive uninstalled that product and changed the installation path back to its default.
I reinstalled DIM yesterday, so everything is up to date. I have DAZ studio 4.6.0.15 in the 64 bit version. Ive had issues with the install manager from day one back when I had daz 4.5; Ive never had it working for me.
I don't know why all of the .exe installers are gone; I heard they were getting rid of them, but I didn't think they would be completely gone. They may have been annoying, but at least they worked. I guess I have to resort to copy/paste.

Re you installing to My Library or My DAZ 3D Library? Toxic will show up in your Poser Format section of your content directory
It is currently set to the 'recommended' default Users/documents/My DAZ 3D library
I tried changing that to user/documents/daz3d/studio/my library and it only half worked. Ive gotten the content to work fine, but I had to copy and paste everything by hand.
1) DIM only knows about items that it installed, so it doesn't know about anything you installed manually or with installers.
2) Can you in DS go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, expand the "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats" sections, and post a screenshot, and in DIM on the "Ready to Install tab check the box in the lower right that says "Show Details" and post a screenshot of that?
Here's the screenshot.
It looks like you left the defaults in DIM so it's installing stuff in C:\Users\Public\Documents\My Daz 3D Library. (Note the \Public\)
In Daz you have C:\Users\Dan\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library (Note the \Dan\) and C:\ProgramData\Daz3D\My Daz Library mapped for both Daz and Poser content. \Public and \Dan are not the same
You have two choices.
1. Leave DIM as it is and add C:\Users\Public\Documents\My Daz 3D Library to the Daz Studio and Poser Formats in Daz Studio. This would mean that DIM would want to re-install all of your already installed content since it can't see it.
2. Change the path in the Recommended DAZ Studio/Poser Content folder to be C:\Users\Dan\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library. This should allow DIM to find all of your existing content from Daz so you don't re-install it. It would make it so that you could only see your content when you are logged in as the user Dan though. For most people that won't be an issue as you're always logged in as the same user anyway.
I'll try the 2nd option the next time I get some content. I have a lot of Renderocity content as well, so option 1 may become confusing. I think I tried option 2 before, and the smart content was not showing properly. The icon was there, but it had an exclamation sign with no picture, and when I clicked on it a pop up said 'file not found'. The same stuff in the content library worked fine though.
I'll give it another shot. Thanks for the help

Yes, the smart content is there, but pointing to a content folder that DS doesn't know about, so it sees a broken item.
