I downloaded the free version and it installed quite nicely but I'm not finding any models or content. Are they included and I just haven't found them yet or will I have to download the models?

You also need to install Genesis Starter Essentials that comes with DS. It is a separate file that needs installed

I thought that it would be in the freebie section but I can't seem to find it

It's already included with DS, but it's an extra download. Check the "Product library" section of your account page, you should find both the Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 starter essential products.

so i'm really confused here. I downloaded Daz Studio and opened it and it worked just fine. Are you saying that the content files that I am looking for was part of that download or do I have to download the genesis as well?

I did go to the "products" part of my account and all I could see were the products that I downloaded in the past

I'm likewise new, likewise confused. So question #1, do menu items move around depending on where I am in the program???
I banged around for a couple of hours in the interface and cannot consistently find the Victoria 6 that I purchased and downloaded via the Install Manager. Let me repeat that, I cannot consistently find the product I purchased. I'm not new to Windows either!

But even when I do find her, she's nothing but a stack of gray boxes. Pretty disappointing for a $59 purchase!

Even with most of the free content, I get error messages when I try to drag a model onto the preview window, suggesting that resource files have not been found. The help files I seen about adding "paths" don't look anything like my WinXP file structure.

I even get an error message AT STARTUP suggesting that I should have selected something. Is this normal for this program??? It appears to be so well developed, I've uninstalled and reinstalled at least 3 times!

    Please somebody help this Newbie!

You need to download genesis starter essentials, and genesis 2 starter essentials if you want the free figures to play with.

The interface does change depending on which tab room you are in. To add content and figures to the scene, you want to be in the actor, wardrobe, and props tab.

Sorry but I still couldn't find it - even when I went to the "product' area. I see the Genesis Starter Bundle but there's no download link to Essentials

Do as I did, put 4.6 into the search box, that is what I show on the centre right of my screen shot.and click filter, it should then give you the screen I show in the main part of the screen shot.
